In my case this is the easiest way to go about it. I sit in front of the computer and just begin free writing, just writing for the sake of writing, and eventually, over time, a story comes out. Once you have the story, you begin writing in earnest.

Once you begin a story, don’t stop, don’t go back and edit, just push ahead until you reach the end. Once you reach the end however, go back through your story and fix it, then do it again, until you think you are done.

After that you submit it to an editor and find out how wrong you were, but that’s another article.
