Dance for A Dead Princess by Deborah Hawkins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Compare two of the characters in this book. Taylor was an attorney at a large law firm and was trying to make a name for herself. She was down to earth and attentive to her job although her personal life appeared to be in shambles. The Duke was a good looking guy who was rich and who was immersed in guilt which is why he was selling Burnham Abbey.
What did you think about the ending of the book. I liked the ending and wouldn’t change it. It wasn’t the ending I expected for the story but it tied in with the title and the tape which played a somewhat central role in the story aside from the murders at Burnham Abbey.
What was the climax of the story? When Taylor found the journals and it revealed the details of Burnham Abbey’s past inhabitants. She is forced to reevaluate her first impression of the Duke and it is from this point in the novel that the story becomes a ride and a half which I particularly enjoyed.
